Both sets of pew are divided down the middle. I thought it was to segregate male from female or color but have learned it was to divide young from old. Still not clear on the purpose.

Picturesque

So Beautiful and Picturesque. You will want to take pictures or video when you see how lovely this place looks all around the grounds.

If you are sight seeing in the area don't miss this church and graveyard. The oak and pecan trees filled with Spanish moss are beautiful.

One of the most beautiful locations in all of Louisiana. If you're in the area, take time to make a stop.

It's definitely a must if you are tooling around St Francisville LA. We enjoyed the beauty of the church and peacefulness of the grounds and great oaks. I am spoiled by Nola cemeteries.. Nothing compares.
