I stayed at this Best Western over Christmas holiday while I visited with family. I was really excited to see that St. Francisville had this nice lodging to offer. Check-in was fast, the room was clean and well kept. I really hope that this hotel stays nice and welcoming, since it's the only decent one in town. I'd definitely stay here again.
I would rate my experience 4/10. I get to the hotel after driving 16 hours only to find they had cancelled my reservation without contacting me. After that was resolved, I got checked in. A/C in the room won't go below 69. Bath towels are scratchy. Complementary breakfast is very underwhelming. I was disturbed by the housekeeping staff even though I had a "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door. The next night I was awoken at 5am with a phone call from the front desk telling me that they received a complaint about the volume level of my TV. I was sound asleep and the TV was barely audible over the A/C fan. I was unable to fall back asleep before my 16 hours drive home. Facility isn't bad, but the staff is.
Staff was especially polite and professional. The continental breakfast was absolutely better than expected and kudos to whoever chose the mattresses. We both brought up how our backs didn't hurt and how well we slept in the morning.
Loved it!!!!! Overall hotel experience was great. Comfortable beds. Clean rooms. Great staff. Wonderful free continental breakfast. Reasonable prices. The only thing I would say was a minus is that the hallway, vending area, and laundry areas were extremely hot not sure if they turn the ac off in these areas to conserve energy during the summer months but a PLUS to this issue is the actual hotel room stayed extremely cool during our stay. Will definitely stay here again. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.*****:)
Very clean, comfortable hotel with a friendly staff. Convenient to downtown St. Francisville and the plantation homes in the area.
